Housing Need Survey 2025
Compton Parish Council commissioned a Housing Needs Survey in 2025, delivered by Connecting Communities in Berkshire. The findings are shared here to inform future parish discussions and decisions.
In early 2025, Compton Parish Council commissioned a Housing Needs Survey to better understand the current and future housing requirements of residents. The survey was carried out independently by Connecting Communities in Berkshire (CCB), a trusted community development charity with expertise in rural housing needs.
The survey provides a valuable snapshot of local housing pressures – whether related to affordability, availability, or suitability – and will help guide parish discussions on development and community priorities. It may also support engagement with West Berkshire Council, housing associations, and other stakeholders as we consider how best to respond to identified needs.
At this stage, we are publishing the initial summary of results. Further information will be shared once CCB has completed its detailed analysis. We are grateful to all residents who took part in the survey and contributed to this important evidence base.
