Compton Parish Council is pleased to confirm that it will continue to fund the Compton Pop‑Up Library for the 2026/27 year.
The Pop‑Up Library was introduced last year as a way to bring West Berkshire Libraries’ services directly into the village. Attendance and feedback over the first year have been positive, and the Parish Council is committed to supporting this accessible, local service for another year.
We would also like to express our thanks to the Compton Village Hall Management Committee, who have kindly agreed to waive the hall hire fee for 2026/27. Their support helps ensure the Pop‑Up Library remains available to everyone in the parish.
The Pop‑Up Library continues to run on the second Thursday of each month, from 10.15am to 11.45am, at Compton Village Hall. All residents are welcome to drop in, browse a selection of books, borrow items, or join West Berkshire Libraries if they are not already members.
