The Pang Valley Flood Forum is holding a Flood Insurance Presentation and Q&A at Pangbourne Village Hall on Tuesday 26th November, 7 pm – 8:30 pm.
Flood Re is the Government and Insurance Industry initiative, which was set up to enable property owners to find affordable insurance for properties that are at risk of flooding, or have been flooded.
Flood Re works in the background helping the insurance industry to offer more affordable insurance to everyone with eligible properties that may be at risk of flooding.
Flood Re collects a levy from multiple home insurers each year, and insurers who are part of the scheme pass on the flood risk part of your policy. If you then make a valid claim on your insurance, your insurer pays you and Flood Re reimburses your insurer from the central Flood Re fund.
