Remembrance Day 2024
Today, on behalf of the parish of Compton, we laid wreaths at the War Memorial at St Mary and St Nicholas Church and at the War Memorial Plaque on the High Street. A further wreath was laid at St Mary's Church in East Ilsley as part of the local Remembrance Parade.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them.”
