Road Closure – Aldworth Road 12 Oct – 6 Nov 2026

Thames Water has provided the following information on an upcoming road closure. Please see the attached document containing the full information.

What we’re doing
We’ll be carrying out sewer lining and sealing works using specialist ‘no-dig’ techniques. This means installing a watertight liner inside existing sewer pipes to help keep groundwater out of the wastewater network.
To carry out this work safely, we’ll need to close sections of Aldworth Road and Coombe Road during our working hours. Signed diversion routes will be in place while the closures are active, and the roads will reopen outside of working hours wherever possible. We appreciate road closures can be disruptive, but they’re the safest and quickest way for us to complete this important work.

When we’ll be working
Location: Aldworth Road and Coombe Road, Compton, Berkshire
Start date: 12 October 2026
Expected completion date: 6 November 2026*
Expected duration: Approximately 4 weeks*

Working hours
We’ll usually be working Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6pm. In some circumstances, we may also need to work on Saturdays (8am to 6pm) or Sundays (9am to 4pm). The work will be carried out in phases, and our working area will move as each section is completed.
